Munich will become the centre of the global HIV response community during the AIDS 2024 conference, which will take place from 22 to 26 July. It will be attended by delegates from all over the world, including people living with HIV (PLHIV).
During this year’s conference, as during previous events, the Positive Lounge will be open.
This space is a special feature of the International AIDS Conference. It is a special space for delegates living with HIV and/or those affected by HIV. It is designed to provide a friendly environment where people can rest, relax and rejuvenate. For many years, the Positive Lounge has been adhering to its core philosophy, embodying the spirit of community and support, which is an extremely important aspect.
The Positive Lounge is scheduled to be available throughout the conference. Delegates will be able to use free Wi-Fi, enjoy refreshments and light snacks. The lounge will also facilitate access to online sessions, ensuring that delegates can stay connected even during breaks.
The lounge will also be staffed by volunteers with experience in peer support for PLHIV, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
The Positive Lounge remains a cornerstone of the International AIDS Conference, reflecting its commitment to the well-being of people living with HIV. This is especially important in light of this year’s main conference slogan: #PutPeopleFirst. The Positive Lounge at AIDS 2024 is a practical reflection of this slogan.
Positive Lounge will be located at the west entrance on the first floor of the conference space. It is scheduled to open on 22 July (Monday) at 08:30.
Positive Lounge opening hours:
22 July – 25 July: 08:30 – 18:30
26 July: 08:30 – 13:30
