Next week, from 22-26 July, the international AIDS 2024 conference will take place in Munich, providing a powerful platform where scientists, activists, public figures, medical professionals, and representatives of key communities from around the world will work together for 5 days.
As we have written earlier, one of the key parts of the conference is the Global Village, where various events and activities are happening. Networking zones with their own full agendas are also a crucial part of Global Villages. Key regional networks and organizations are united at the EECA Region Space in the AIDS 2024 Global Village.
From July 22-25, the EECA Region Space – at HALL A1, AD08, will host a range of sessions designed to share best practices, successes, and challenges in the fight against AIDS. For a detailed schedule of events at EECA Region Space, view the comprehensive page with schedule.
The Eurasian Movement for the Right to Health in Prisons will host an interesting and powerful session on “Community Response to HIV in prisons of EECA region“. The session will take place on 23 July at 16:45-17:45 at EECA Region Space in the Global Village – AD08.
Among the topics to be discussed by well-known speakers from EECA region, there will be:
- Best practices for providing community-based HIV services in prisons;
- Participation of community representatives in planning and monitoring of services;
- Community-led monitoring in prisons;
- Plans on developing the community of people with living experiences in prisons in the EECA region;
The Eurasian Movement for the Right to Health in Prisons invites everyone to join the session and discussion, highlighting also, that simultaneous interpretation (English-Russian) will be provided during the session via the Zoom platform.
