Networking Zones at AIDS 2024 Global Village: Connect, Collaborate, and Inspire

Global Village is not only a place to share knowledge and experience, but also a space for inspiration and motivation. Each participant can find something interesting and useful for themselves, feel the support of the international community, and join the global efforts in the fight against HIV.

Networking zones at Global Village are spaces for meetings and discussions on thematic issues between different community groups, international organizations, scientists, donors, and a wide range of other interested participants.

This is a space for free communication between different groups of conference participants: community representatives with donors, NGO representatives with colleagues from other regions, scientists and researchers with representatives of various key groups, and most importantly, it is a convenient location for representatives of various networks to communicate and establish interactions with new partners, and start new initiatives that will be implemented after the conference.

Each networking zone usually has its own program, which can be found both on the resources of the conference itself (website – AIDS 2024 Programme) and on the resources of the network or group responsible for the zone.

We would like to recommend four such networking zones, where interesting meetings and discussions related to Eastern Europe and Central Asian region will take place:

Eastern Europe and Central Asia – AD08
Location code: AD0802
Link: Eastern Europe and Central Asia

This is a networking space where all key regional networks, civil society organizations, and national community leaders from our region will gather to showcase best practices, share successes and challenges, and call for coordinated action with international, regional, and national partners to effectively respond to new challenges. We will be actively covering and promoting activities in the regional Networking Space for EECA.

The program will be soon available, including on our special web page: aids2024.virusoff.info. This is the main EECA Regional Space where the main activities within the frames of the regional campaign will be conducted, as well as main meetings and events for the Region. Follow our updates!

People Living with HIV Networking Zone – CS22
Location code: CS2202
Link: People Living with HIV Networking Zone

This networking zone is the GNP+ space – Global Network of People Living with HIV. We recommend joining the program and activities at this location to all those who are involved in the development and implementation of programs and projects aimed at improving services, legal protection, and support for PLHIV. Participation in this networking space is an opportunity to share some of the key program products, data, and innovations with the wider HIV community and stakeholders, and to discuss common global challenges regarding the threats facing people living with HIV around the world.

Global Fund Advocates Network | Alliance for Public Health – AD09
Location code: AD0901

The Global Fund Advocates Network (GFAN) and the Alliance for Public Health will host a dedicated networking space for HIV and health advocates at the Global Village 2024, highlighting success stories from Ukraine and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA). This space will facilitate strategic planning for the Global Fund’s 8th Replenishment and global HIV response funding. Key session topics will include panel discussions with Global Fund leadership, presentations on innovative HIV tools and financing, and workshops to expand advocacy networks and enhance resource mobilization efforts. Special emphasis will be placed on sharing best practices and success stories from EECA countries in addressing contemporary challenges like emerging pandemics, military conflicts, and climate change.

WE WILL WIN: Ukrainian Communities Defy War Trials – CS16
